    Introduction to Permaculture (1-3 Days)

    This Introduction to Permaculture Design Course is for those who would like to the fundamentals of permaculture design, but either cannot commit to a full design course or would just like to see what it is all about.  Course can be taylored to a wide range of people and time frames (1-3 days).  In traditional Eden on Earth format it will typically involve a mix of theory and hands-on activity.

    Water Harvesting: The Permaculture Way (2 Days)

    In this hands-on workshop participants will learn how to design a permaculture based edible landscape that harvests its own water.  Throughout the weekend we will install a rainwater tank/cistern, dig passive water harvesting earthworks, and install a basic gravity fed greywater irrigation system.  By the end of the weekend participants will have a basic understanding of how to design and install their own water harvesting systems at home.

    Laundry to Landscape (1 Day)

    This hands-on workshop focuses on greywater design specifically for the washing machine.  Learn how easy it is to use the washing machine to irrigate fruit trees and more with this cheap, easy, and legal (in California and Arizona) method of greywater reuse.  By the end of the day participants will be able to design and install their own laundry to landscape greywater system with confidence.

    Backyard Chickens: The Permaculture Way (1/2-1 Day)

    Keeping a few household chickens in your backyard has never been easier.  Chickens make the ideal household animal/pet.  Not only do you get fresh, tasty, and nutritious eggs, but you get many added benefits as well.  In fact, I think I would keep a few chickens in my backyard garden system even if I did not get any eggs.  Chickens provide excellent pest control of grasshoppers and other bugs that can eat garden plants plus the hens also provide a superb fertilizer and compost activator with their manure.
